BYU vs UofU

So I am super late on posting this one, too. Meh. It gets done so that's all I can say!

The past two years our great friends, Amanda and Spencer, have invited us to their neighborhood/ward shindig to watch the Holy War. It's nice of everyone to let us be squatters! Last year, the party was held in the backyard of someone's home and we all froze our butts clean off!! This year, they held it at Amanda and Spencer's which is quite brilliant actually because they have a second garage that we were able to huddle into for protection from the cold and have heaters going. It was a bit more comfortable this year for sure!

Amanda and Spencer posed for a picture, but then a play captured Spencer's attention and he turned at the last second. You can see he's still smiling! And Amanda looks cute as a Ute (I just made that up....just now. Get it? Cuz she's a Ute fan? I'm awesome.)!
But as we all know, BYU emerged the winner this year, which made us happy and them sad:

Thankfully, we are all good sports and just have fun with it, instead of all the crazy pyschos that become emotionally stunted people just because their team lost:

#1 No More

Paul's flag football team, the Raven's, were number one in the B league...that is until this last Saturday when they played my brother's flag football team. Gaven wasn't there cuz he's an idiot and went long boarding (thankfully with a helmot on) and crashed and broke his collarbone. But the irritating thing is that the Ravens should have won. I won't go into details about who cost them the game but I was pretty irritated that they lost their #1 standing - especially to my brother's team!! No, I am not happy for his team because I don't know anyone on it and Gaven wasn't even playing and the Raven's are really really good. Anyway - thought I would post some pics cuz it was a really interesting game! They only lost by a touchdown in the last 3 seconds of the game.

Daily Rant #4

Yesterday Amanda and Spencer called to see if we wanted to zip on over and play a game- we were all for it. While playing the game we watched the Steelers stomp on the Raven's (which was a really good thing cuz Spencer would have been in a baaaaaaaaad mood, right Mana?). Well a commercial came on - one of a thousand that features Peyton Manning - and I said "That's It!! I have had it with Peyton Manning being on every damn football commercial ever made!!" So I vowed to rant about how much I can't stand that Peyton Manning is everywhere when you are watching football. GURRRRRGGGGHHHHH! Seriously - he's everywhere. The sprint commercial, at least five Mastercard commercials that I can count, the Pep talk ones, the Reggie vs. Peyton, the Peyton and Eli, Sony, Gatorade and I know there is more than that. Granted, the commercials are pretty funny and I may even allow myself to laugh at a couple of them, but it drives me absolutely crazy that he is everywhere. EV-ER-Y-WHERE.

'Tis The Season

Football season has arrived. That means a couple months of sitting on the sidelines cheering on my hottie husband in friendly games of flag football. I just love watching him play football. He is so sexy and he doesn't even know it!

He plays with some guys at work, his brother, and a couple friends. That friend up there with him is one of his best buds, Spencer.

They have only played two games so far this year but they have won both of them. I hope they keep it up! It's fun to watch them play. And of course, there will be a whole lot of this going on at our house:
